
XML for managers is a 1/2-day seminar covering the topic of XML and some of the leading XML vocabularies and applications. This seminar will give students a vocabulary and high-level understanding of XML concepts and terminology. Topics covered include: XML; XML processing with SAX, DOM and XSLT; XML and publishing (including a discussion on internationalization); content management; knowledge management; and Web services. Depending on time, the course will conclude with a look at business cases showing the usefulness of XML in various real-world scenarios.
